Privacy at Darul Falah

Your information should be handled with care.

This notice explains the main information used by the Darul Falah website and community app. Funeral Support applicants also receive the detailed Scheme Privacy Notice before submitting an application.

What we use

Only what the service needs

Prayer times, centre information and public pages can be viewed without creating an account. We do not use behavioural advertising in the Darul Falah app.

If you apply for Funeral Support, we use the contact, identity, family, eligibility, declaration and payment-status information you submit to operate the Scheme, prevent misuse, keep records and respond to requests.

If Darul Falah creates a member account after checking identity and contact possession, the app uses short-lived access credentials and a rotating device credential protected by the operating system. Full card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Darul Falah.

Evidence for a support request may include sensitive or special-category information. It is collected only through the approved secure route, malware-scanned and restricted to authorised roles.

Your choices

Access, correction and account closure

You can ask what information is held, request correction, object or restrict processing where applicable, and ask for your app account to be closed and eligible information erased.

01

Retention and sharing

Not kept or shared without a reason

We keep information only for the period needed to operate the service and meet applicable safeguarding, accounting, legal, dispute and record-keeping duties. Account closure does not require Darul Falah to erase a financial or audit record that it must lawfully retain; access is removed and remaining data is deleted when its retention period ends.

We use service providers only where needed to deliver hosting, email, payment or security functions. They must handle information for the agreed purpose. We do not sell member information.

For a detailed request, email info@darulfalah.org. We may ask for proportionate proof before disclosing, changing or deleting a record.
